Exclamation How to fix slow start-up on Nokia 3rdEd OS9.1 Phone

After searching sometime for the solution of how to speed up a little bit during phone start-up and recover some valueable phone memory space, and finally I have discovered some trick which I have found from some forum. The solution is as follow :

    1. Turn-Off your phone and remove SIM card and Memory Card.
    2. Insert a new SIM card from different GSM Provider.
    3. Turn-On your phone for a few minutes, then turn-off and remove the SIM card.

Note: Since a new SIM card is inserted, symbian OS will remove old configuration and create a brand new configurations, in other words, existing junk will also be deleted and removed, therefore, you will recover some phone memory space.

    4. Re-Insert your original SIM card and Memory Card again.
    5. Turn-On your phone again, and this time your phone should start faster and some phone memory will be released due to some junk had been removed.

Note: Please remember to reset your Messaging setting to save your sms messages to memory card again, and recheck all audio and video application setting that has option whether to save to "phone memory" or "memory card"

    It matters...
When we use the same SIM card and for some time we have been using the phone with all the activities such as installing and uninstalling applications, setting/resetting GPRS configurations, setting/resetting some other configuration which we do not remember any more, and the OS keep updating and adding more and more junks. When a brand new SIM card is inserted, the OS detected a brand new configuration needs to be created, hence the old configuration junks will be removed and thus releases at least some 400KB of your valuable phone memory (perhaps not much), and without using the new SIM card for any further configuration activities such as installing/uninstalling applications, i.e. no new junk are created, and if we return the old SIM card back again to the phone, and the OS immediately treat our old SIM card as a brand new SIM card again, and rewrite the whole previous configuration based on the some information stored on the SIM card. At the end, you will experience a trouble free, faster phone start up and other benefits.

I wish this trick usefull for you..........Thanks

    here is short one:
Goto 'log" > options > setting & set Call log duration for shorter time (minimum not maximum) then reboot (Restart) the phone.
